Benny Elon was thrust into politics in the 90ís by the Oslo process.Following the assassination of Rechavam Zeevy in October 2001, MK Elon assumed the leadership of the party Moledet and was appointed Minister of Tourism.

 

Rabbi Benny Elon is the founder of the Beit Orot Yeshiva on the Mt. of Olives, which he headed until his election to the Knesset in 1996.

 

"Unlike most left-wing politicians, I'm concerned about what's happening in the refugee camps... they live in terrible conditions, they really need their own state. And we are ready for a difficult compromise".
